EMAIL INVOICING
Invoices can now be emailed with fewer clicks for greater efficiency. Affiliated stores that are located remotely (away from the server) will also have access to this improvement, which requires SMTP configurations.
SUPPLIERS AUTOMATIC ORDERS (EDI)
Orders for direct purchases are now in a standard format (EDI) and can be imported easily by suppliers, reducing the risk of errors.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS
- Account statements may now be sent to more than one recipient.
- The customer's fax number will appear on the account statement.
- When receiving products, printed barcode labels will correspond to the amount received.
- Shaded lines have been removed from invoices and quotes for better readability when sending by fax.
- The barcode reader can be configured for use in one or several branches of the same company.
- The invoicing and quote form now has a description field for products that can contain more characters.

IT’S TIME TO CONSIDER CHANGING YOUR SERVER
Did you know that as of July 14, 2015, Windows Server 2003 will no longer be supported by Microsoft? This means that from that date, technical assistance and automatic updates that help protect your PC will no longer be available. To avoid any problems, the Carrus team is advising all of its customers who are still using this operating system to consider adopting new software in order to protect their data and applications. The migration of a workstation is normally quick and inexpensive, however in the case of a server, it can be more complicated. Act now to make sure you are using a supported version of MS Windows and MS Office.
